2024.06.04. The Fair Economy — AI-integrated security solutions company Suprema Inc. (co-CEOs Lee Jae-won and Kim Han-cheol) recently announced that it has obtained "CSA STAR (Security, Trust, Assurance, Risk) Level 2," an international standard cloud security system certification issued by the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), and has renewed both "ISO/IEC 27001," an international standard information security management system certification, and "ISO/IEC 27701," a personal information protection management system certification.

The CSA STAR certification is issued by the CSA, a global organization that conducts research to raise awareness, investigate case studies, and certify standards for the future of cloud and cybersecurity. Only companies that have obtained ISO/IEC 27001 are eligible for review, and they must meet the evaluation criteria of version 4 of the Cloud Control Matrix (CCM) regarding the composition, management, operation, and use of the cloud.

Suprema renewed both the international ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certifications last March, and with this latest acquisition of the CSA STAR certification, it has also demonstrated that its cloud security management capabilities meet international standards.

Eland Retail, one of Suprema Inc.'s representative cloud services, allows customers to integrate Suprema Inc. access control devices with third-party cloud platforms without introducing servers. It supports customers who need space management, member and visitor management, and attendance management by enabling them to easily adopt access control services.

By securing a global level of security, Suprema Inc.'s Eland Retail can now provide safer and more reliable services worldwide.

Meanwhile, Suprema holds both the international ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certifications covering its entire range of services, from the product design and development stage onward, and is expanding its investment in research for information security and personal information protection.

Kim Han-cheol, CEO of Suprema, said, "With this certification, Suprema is now able to offer cloud security services that meet international standards, in line with the growing market trend toward cloud adoption. We obtained additional global certifications such as CSA STAR to demonstrate our capabilities in every area of security — not only data security and personal information protection but also cloud security — and we will continue our efforts to provide highly safe and reliable security services going forward."
