Atto Research Co., Ltd. announced on the 5th that it has qualified to apply for a preliminary review for a KOSDAQ listing after passing technology evaluations conducted by two expert evaluation agencies designated by the Korea Exchange. The company said it will move forward with the KOSDAQ listing process, including preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) together with lead underwriter Kiwoom Securities.

According to Atto Research Co., Ltd., the company, established in 2012, provides a 'Hyperconverged Infrastructure Software-Defined Data Center (HCI SDDC)' solution that combines its proprietary cloud construction technology, broadband software-defined networking (SDN) capabilities, and data center construction experience.

These products have had their performance and quality recognized, having obtained a security function verification certificate from the National Intelligence Service and a Good Software (GS) Grade 1 certification.

Atto Research Co., Ltd. has recently shown results in its new business area of data center construction.

Last November, the company signed a memorandum of understanding for the creation of a digital innovation ecosystem and financial town in Jeollabuk-do. Atto Research Co., Ltd., along with 15 other institutions and companies including Jeollabuk-do, Kakao Enterprise, and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources (MOTIR), is currently working on creating a digital innovation ecosystem and developing an international complex financial center.

Next month, in December, through an agreement to promote the Daegu AI Data Center (AIDC), the company is proceeding with the AIDC project in Daegu Suseong Alpha City together with SK C&C and SK REITs Management.

Atto Research Co., Ltd. is undertaking service support projects after being recognized as a company capable of conceptual design, construction, and operation of AIDCs. The company is evaluated as possessing superior technology and expertise in virtualizing various resources required for data centers, such as server, network, storage, and backup/recovery virtualization, compared to other companies. These technologies are used as core tools for monitoring and controlling available resources in data center and cloud environments and are effective in application fields requiring high-level data processing, such as AI accelerators.

Moreover, Atto Research Co., Ltd. is laying the groundwork for constructing smart city infrastructure using AI.

In the Bucheon Intelligent Transport System (ITS) project, the company developed a system that uses AITS (AI+ITS) to gather information from CCTV cameras installed at intersections and automatically analyze incidents such as traffic congestion and accidents with AI, alerting operators in real time. The system is now actively used by the local government.

In December last year, at the launch ceremony of the Korea Generative AI Foundation, Atto Research presented "Smart City Infrastructure for Generative AI."

The Korea Generative AI Foundation, a non-profit corporation, is led by Atto Research Co., Ltd. alongside Yulchon and KAIST. The company is preparing a new AI solution with AesculAI (CEO Do Jae-yeong) to expand technology that allows the infrastructure of companies, cities, and nations to be controlled as easily as a smartphone and to integrate it with AI.

The company is also making its mark in finance and education.

Atto Research Co., Ltd. has supplied its SDN solution, developed solely with its own technology, as the network solution for the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute center. Additionally, Hana Financial Group, the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education, and Paju City Hall have adopted and are operating Atto Research Co., Ltd.'s SDN solutions.

Using solutions built with its own technology, Atto Research Co., Ltd. has successfully led various projects, including the Bucheon Smart City project and the Sejong Special Self-Governing City business system project. Currently, it is accelerating its new data center business and plans to maximize related revenue by combining it with Backup as a Service (BaaS), a backup data solution.

These achievements of Atto Research Co., Ltd. are analyzed as being based on its technological strength. The company has been recognized for its technology, holding 90 patents, being selected as a DNA Innovation Company for four consecutive years, being chosen for the National Top 1000 Innovative Companies, being selected as a Global ICT Growth Unicorn, and receiving the Presidential Award for SME Technology Innovation.

Jung Jae-ung, CEO of Atto Research Co., Ltd., said, "I think the IPO is one step in Atto Research Co., Ltd.'s growth to a national scale. Going through an IPO is a good opportunity as it allows us to refine the company both internally and externally. People with big dreams and visions have gathered at Atto Research Co., Ltd., and there are partners and resources willing to help them. Through this, we will accelerate our Earth-Scale Computer business, expanding beyond city scale to national and even global scale."
