2024.06.13. The Fair Economy — AI-based cybersecurity company SecuriON announced on the 13th that its mobile antivirus solution "OnAV" has received 2024 "AV-Comparatives" certification.
According to SecuriON, AV-Comparatives, based in Austria, is a globally recognized security product performance evaluation organization. With its rigorous evaluation standards, it is recognized as an authority in the industry alongside AV-TEST and MRG Effitas.
SecuriON's OnAV achieved an overall detection rate of 99.1%, earning AV-Comparatives certification for the sixth consecutive year, a feat unmatched by any other South Korean company. This year's test included six global antivirus solutions, including SecuriON's OnAV, all of which received certification.
OnAV incorporates SecuriON's proprietary AI detection system, the "Cross-Validation System (CVS)," which delivers a high detection rate while consuming fewer resources. CVS combines machine-learning analysis, pattern analysis and reputation analysis, specializing in detecting new and variant malicious apps while resolving over-detection issues and maintaining stable performance. SecuriON applies CVS across its mobile antivirus solution OnAV, its mobile and IoT integrated security solution OnTrust, and its AI-based malicious app analysis solution OnAppScan.
Yoo Dong-hun, CEO of SecuriON, said, "AV-Comparatives is an evaluation organization with such high credibility in the industry that it has, in the past, assessed antivirus detection rates without the consent of solution developers, and apps that failed to meet a certain standard were removed from the Google app market." He added, "We will strive to expand our overseas customer base with an AI security solution made in Korea that has been certified through global evaluation."
