2024.06.19. The Fair Economy — Logistics platform Tradlinx (CEO Park Min-gyu) announced on the 19th that it will hold a webinar diagnosing and forecasting the current state of the shipping industry amid soaring logistics costs.

According to Tradlinx, the webinar, which will be held on the 25th at 2 p.m. under the theme "Soaring maritime freight rates… a repeat of the pandemic logistics crisis?", is designed for import‑export companies, shipping lines, forwarders, and other logistics professionals struggling with rising freight costs and container shortages.

The webinar will proceed in this order: the rise in ocean freight rates outpacing even the pandemic period; a look back at the logistics crisis during the Covid-19 era; an outlook for the ocean shipping market in the second half of 2024; and an introduction to solutions for preparing for a logistics crisis. It will run for about 30 minutes and will be hosted by Kim Seung-jun, a manager on Tradlinx's logistics innovation team.

Tradlinx said, "Recent maritime freight rates have risen as sharply as during the pandemic, causing difficulties for import‑export stakeholders. The shipping market is always sensitive to uncertain variables. We hope the webinar will help companies understand the current situation and build efficient supply chains to prepare for uncertainty."

The webinar is free, and registration closes on a first‑come‑first‑served basis. Registrants who sign up via the webinar application link (https://bit.ly/4cqoPO3) by the morning of the 25th will receive a URL to access the webinar before it starts. Some attendees will receive an Americano gift coupon and a free logistics consulting voucher.

Meanwhile, Tradlinx is Korea's largest import-export logistics platform, offering supply chain management solutions in the form of software as a service (SaaS). Its flagship offerings include the end-to-end supply chain solution "Ocean Visibility" (formerly ShipGo), the import-export collaboration cloud solution "ZimGo," and "LinGo," a data-driven logistics business partner-finding service.
