2024.06.29. The Fair Economy — Kisa recently released the revised version (V1.2) of the "Home Network Security Guide," which adds examples of home network equipment components.
The revised version includes an appendix with examples of how to strengthen security when building and operating home network equipment by using firewalls, which are essential components of home networks.
According to the added content, communication should be kept to a minimum (limited to approved IPs, ports, etc.) in the following cases: between the internet network and the DMZ; between the complex server and the DMZ; between the complex server and certain systems such as the remote metering system; and between the complex server and each household's home gateway.
Kisa explained, "These are examples of how to strengthen security by utilizing firewall functions when building and operating home network equipment," adding, "They can be configured and operated in various ways depending on the environment in which home network equipment is built and operated."
