2024.07.03. The Fair Economy — Tilon, a cloud virtualization and metaverse office specialist, announced on the 4th that it has deployed its virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solution 'Dstation v9.0' at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The adoption, which replaces a competitor's product previously in use with Tilon's solution, is drawing attention in the industry.

According to Tilon, Dstation v9.0 is the first VDI solution in the domestic virtualization management product sector to obtain Security Function Confirmation 2.0, certifying its security suitability. Tilon's VDI system, based on its proprietary virtualization protocol, provides enhanced security features including service and agent integrity, prevention of duplicate sessions and reuse, encryption of communication and stored data, process execution control, and access control.

Tilon's VDI system, through its integrated administrator portal 'CenterPost', allows administrators to quickly create, deploy, and delete virtual desktops, maximizing operational efficiency.

The ministry procured the virtual desktop (VD) solution this time. Through this project, it collected existing VDs in use and replaced them with Tilon VDs, and also introduced additional VDs from Tilon.

Many VDI/Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) vendors have tried to participate in the on-book business to expand the ecosystem, but most attempts did not achieve the expected results. In particular, several companies faced difficulties due to industry standard compliance and regulatory issues.

However, Tilon successfully responded to these challenges, providing optimized solutions tailored to various industry requirements in the on-book business. Also, as remote work expanded during the pandemic, Tilon's VDI/DaaS solutions were adopted, significantly improving customers' productivity and flexibility.

The Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities also procured Tilon's VD in June. The project was divided into phases 1 to 3, and with this completion, all tasks through phase 3 have been finished. Efforts continue to expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities and provide better working environments.

Choi Baek-jun, CEO of Tilon, said, "Tilon is leading policy and institutional improvements for innovating the way the public sector works at the government-wide level," and added, "As public institutions are actively considering adopting VDI or public DaaS for smart administrative work, we will continue to strive to provide stable and efficient VDI solutions to more public institutions."

Through this deployment, the Ministry of Economy and Finance expects improved work productivity and enhanced security through efficient operation and management.
