2024.07.03. The Fair Economy — Inswave Systems (CEO Eo Se-ryong), an AI and digital transformation (DX) specialist, announced recently that it held a ceremony on the 1st at the anchor1 building (Anchor One, Brighton office tower) in Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, to declare a new vision for innovation looking toward 2035.

The event was held in the town hall of Inswave's new headquarters, to which the company relocated on the 1st. All of the company's roughly 180 executives and employees, including a standing adviser, attended to mark the opening of the Yeouido era and to jointly declare the newly established vision.

The ceremony opened with greetings from Inswave CEO Eo Se-ryong and congratulatory remarks from outside director Oh Hae-seok. This was followed by an introduction to the new Yeouido headquarters and plans for HR innovation and improvements to corporate culture. Employees also took part in an event in which they wrote their wishes on paper airplanes and threw them toward the stage. Inswave CFO Song Bong-cheol picked up and read out a few of the wishes from among hundreds of paper airplanes and promised to respond to them, lifting the mood among employees.

CEO Eo Se-ryong then formally declared Inswave's new vision for innovation, "Beyond UI/UX, Leading the Waves of AX," and introduced, in turn, the mission, core values and strategic goals behind it.

Inswave's new vision of going beyond UI/UX to lead the wave of AI transformation means combining its existing capabilities with artificial intelligence (AI) to create synergy across all business areas, and enhancing corporate competitiveness and shareholder value through the integration of AI and cloud technologies and the pursuit of new businesses.

Going further, Inswave has set strategic goals to achieve its mission of growing into an AX company with 1 trillion won (about $714 million) in revenue and 200 billion won (about $143 million) in operating profit by 2035: securing leadership in AI technology; maintaining and strengthening its market dominance in UI/UX technology; expanding its digital transformation (DX) business; expanding its technology and markets through strategic M&A; stepping up its push into overseas markets; and building an innovative, talent-centered organizational culture.

An Inswave official explained that the company will actively seek out excellent technologies and continuously pursue M&A, while also focusing its capabilities on entering overseas markets, sparing no effort to achieve sustained corporate value growth.

Inswave is a company that has recorded steady growth, posting record sales for six consecutive years until its listing on the KOSDAQ market in September last year. Less than three years after moving to Magok-dong in 2021, it has expanded its business at a rapid pace and is now opening a new era in Yeouido, the center of Korea's economy and finance.

Inswave's new headquarters also features an overhaul of its workspace reflecting the shift to the "Next Stage" that the company has emphasized since its New Year workshop. The company has sought company-wide synergy through an "integrated workspace" that breaks down barriers between business divisions, while newly providing every employee with a 21:9 ultra-wide monitor on an arm mount to boost work productivity — a careful effort that extends even to creating a more spacious work environment on each desk.

Other notable features include six "Inswave signature meeting rooms" named AI, Cloud, DX, WebSquare, ProWorks and Matrix; the "Wave Town Hall," a space for communication and unity that brings together a massive 180-inch micro-LED display, cozy sofas and tables, and a cafeteria; and "Han River view seats," where employees can occasionally work with an open view and clear their heads.

An Inswave official said that a pleasant working environment is needed for employees to think more creatively, and that higher work efficiency in an improved environment is expected to have a positive impact on the quality of the company's technology and services as well.

Eo Se-ryong, CEO of Inswave, said, "We invested the assets secured through last year's listing in our new headquarters first, laying the groundwork for us to take another step forward. The vision for future innovation that we declared in our new home will be the starting signal for Inswave's success story, one we will keep writing for the next 10 years and beyond."

Meanwhile, Inswave is a DX solutions company that has led the Web standard UI/UX market since its founding in 2002, putting it in its 22nd year in the industry. It has built up a solid track record, successfully carrying out more than 4,000 projects for some 900 client companies. The company recently launched "WebSquare AI," which supports AI copilot functions using large language models (LLMs), and is advancing from a UI/UX-based digital transformation solutions provider into an AI company.
