2024.07.09. The Fair Economy — Biometric security solutions firm Union Community (CEO Shin Yo-sik) said on the 9th that its integrated security solution, UBio Alpeta, has earned a Grade 1 certification — the highest rating — from the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) under the Good Software (GS) certification program.

GS certification is a software quality certification system that evaluates functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, and maintainability of software products. It is awarded through systematic evaluation including the program, product documentation, and user manuals, and the highest grade, Grade 1, guarantees the highest level of quality.

Unlike other certification schemes, the GS certification is assessed in an environment closely resembling actual operating conditions, making it a key indicator of reliability for software adoption by government agencies, public institutions and financial organizations.

According to Union Community, UBio Alpeta, which earned GS Grade 1 certification, integrates with access control terminals to provide users with a more convenient and effective security system through functions such as access control, attendance management, and water management.

The solution also connects with video management systems (VMS) to perform video surveillance duties. By interfacing with other systems, it offers elevator control and building management system (BMS) functions, allowing it to be tailored to a wide range of security and monitoring requirements.

Shin Yo-sik, CEO of Union Community, said, "Earning GS Grade 1 certification proves not only the technological prowess of Union Community's integrated security solution but also its stability and quality. We will do our utmost to supply safer and more convenient integrated security solutions in the public sector."
