2024.07.10. The Fair Economy — Everspin (CEO Ha Yeong-bin), a mobile threat defense (MTD) solutions company, announced on the 10th that its anti-hacking solution 'Eversafe Web' has been introduced at the Korea Federation of Savings Banks.
According to Everspin, Eversafe Web is a solution that provides security across the entire web environment, based on the company's 'Moving Target Defense (MTD)' technology, which holds 33 patents worldwide. MTD is a security concept first devised by the Obama administration in 2009, which involves frequently changing or making unidentifiable the targets of cyberattacks.
Everspin developed and commercialized this technology for the first time in Korea in 2014. Eversafe Web, which applies MTD, neutralizes hacking attempts themselves. Existing hacking defense solutions have evolved to make hacking difficult and complex, but no matter how difficult a security module is to analyze, it can be breached if enough time is given. However, with Eversafe Web, even if a hacker attempts to break in, the security module itself changes, forcing them to start over from scratch. The principle is that hacking attempts are repeated infinitely and ultimately fail.
Eversafe Web is a solution that can protect a wide range of web areas at once. While existing installation-type solutions only protected the user's PC environment, Eversafe Web effectively protects all web environments, including web resources, servers, communication data, and sessions.
Through these functions, it achieves meaningful results such as preventing hacker analysis and tampering, blocking identity theft crimes through parameter forgery, defending against inter-company scraping, macro defense, and proactively responding to unpredictable new attacks such as exploitation of the Log4j vulnerability, realizing comprehensive web protection.
Eversafe Web is currently being used by major financial institutions, including the Savings Bank Association of Korea, which recently adopted it, as well as NH Nonghyup Bank, SBI Savings Bank, Samsung Card, S Wooricard, Korea Investment & Securities Co., KB Securities, Kiwoom Securities, and Meritz Securities.
