2024.07.13. The Fair Economy — MegazoneCloud (CEO Lee Ju-wan) announced on the 12th that it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) to cooperate on quantum computing technology development and commercialization, and discussed ways to enhance technological capabilities in the quantum computing field.
The two parties plan to develop related technologies, including integrating 'QPlayer,' a quantum computing emulator developed under a support program by ETRI of the Ministry of Science and ICT, into MegazoneCloud's quantum computing platform, 'M-Qloud.' Areas of cooperation include personnel exchange in quantum computing and the discovery of new business opportunities.
Kim Dong-ho, Vice President and Chief Quantum Officer (CQO) of MegazoneCloud, said, "ETRI has been researching foundational technologies in quantum computing through activities such as developing quantum computing emulators, researching quantum algorithms, and jointly operating a quantum graduate school with KAIST. MegazoneCloud plans to offer ETRI's quantum computing emulator through M-Qloud, a quantum cloud service to be launched at the end of this year, and will cooperate to create synergies in various fields, including algorithm development."
Cho Il-yeon, director of ETRI, said, "We aim to contribute to domestic quantum computing research by integrating the quantum computing emulator developed by ETRI into MegazoneCloud's quantum computing platform and providing it as a service."
