2024.07.19. The Fair Economy — Integrated cloud service provider Claion, led by CEO Park Yun-ji, said on the 18th that it was selected as a comprehensive support (platform utilization support) supplier in the 'Hyper-scale AI Utilization Support Project' being promoted by the National Information Society Agency (NIA).
It also said it is actively carrying out artificial intelligence (AI) projects, including participating in Hyundai Engineering and Construction's 'Apartment Residents' Health Management Platform' project.
The Hyper-scale AI Utilization Support Project is divided into two tracks: the 'Platform Utilization Support Project,' which matches supply companies owning hyper-scale AI platforms with institutions and companies that have utilization needs, providing support for consulting, proof of concept (PoC), and usage fees; and the 'Service Development Support Project,' which supports the development of innovative services for administrative efficiency and solving social issues.
Participating as part of the Naver Cloud Consortium, Claion will handle all processes required for each demand company to adopt generative AI, including consulting, PoC execution, formulating plans for introducing generative AI into each institution's business, reviewing data preparation during the adoption process, and final implementation.
The Health Management Platform for Apartment Residents project led by Hyundai Engineering and Construction is a 'Problem-Solving (Top-down)' task under the public-private cooperation open innovation support project overseen by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. In this project, Claion is responsible for building a cloud system that analyzes resident information collected through home networks using hyper-scale AI.
Claion is strengthening its AI business capabilities by executing various AI projects beyond the Hyundai Engineering and Construction multi-family housing resident health management platform project. It is also conducting pilot tests for chatbot development projects aimed at building AI-based customer service centers (AICC) for domestic energy companies, among other diverse AI initiatives.
In the second half of the year, Claion plans to develop AX HUB to support companies in adopting AI services or customizing them. AX HUB is built on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Unlike large language models (LLMs), which are limited to using only learned information and require continuous learning for up-to-date data, RAG AI allows the use of additional data resources to obtain answers using faster and more current information. This enables companies to adopt their desired AI services more easily and flexibly.
Claion has been preparing AI service projects continuously, including conducting a machine reading comprehension (MRC)-based generative chatbot development task in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 'Startup Growth Technology Development Stepping Stone Project' in 2022.
"AI is an unavoidable challenge and opportunity for companies operating services, just like cloud," said Park Yun-ji, CEO of Claion. "Claion, which has built up its cloud capabilities, will devote company-wide efforts to support the public sector and enterprises in the AI field as well."
