2024.08.13. The Fair Economy — MegazoneCloud (CEO Lee Ju-wan) announced on the 13th that a consortium including its affiliate, AI specialist AlphaCode, has been selected as the fine-tuning operator in charge of service development and data processing for the Ministry of Science and ICT's '2024 AI Media and Culture Enjoyment Expansion Project.'
The '2024 AI Media and Culture Enjoyment Expansion Project' is an initiative by the Ministry of Science and ICT aimed at promoting the daily integration of AI and strengthening national AI competitiveness by building and providing ultra-large-scale AI platforms for creative activity services, including video content. AlphaCode is participating in this project with 'Aide,' a generative AI-based pre-production service for video ads.
'Aide' is a video ad pre-production service that automatically generates ad storyboards, video and thumbnails, ad music, storyboards, subtitles, and voiceovers when users input only a rough video story.
By pre-producing video ads at a level similar to actual filming results, it helps reduce the budget and time required for the entire production process and allows for early review of video quality, contributing to higher completion quality.
'Aide' utilizes 'AlphaMistral7B,' a small-scale large language model (sLLM) fine-tuned by AlphaCode based on Mistral-7B, an open-source model from French AI company Mistral. As an sLLM, which is a lightweight version of an LLM, 'AlphaMistral7B' offers the advantages of short training times and cost efficiency while maintaining excellent security and data privacy, making it suitable for customized video production.
'AlphaMist7B' previously ranked first in the Mistral-7B performance evaluation in May, proving its technical excellence. Additionally, it has maintained the top spot in the 7B category of the Open Ko-LLM Leaderboard hosted by the National Information Society Agency (NIA) since May, with a comprehensive score of 56.54.
AlphaCode plans to complete dataset construction and development by December, undergo security enhancement work, and launch a pilot service for 'Aide' around July next year.
Jung Ha-seong, CEO of AlphaCode, stated, "As consumption of video content increases, diverse video ads are emerging as a core element of business, but 'Aide' is the first AI-based service to support video ad production in a one-stop manner. Through 'Aide,' an AI technology-based service that maximizes efficiency in the early stages of ad production, we aim to support qualitative improvements across the entire advertising industry."
