ShopBack Korea Holds Special Event to Mark Launch of Hana 'Travlog GO' Card

2024.08.30. The Fair Economy — Shopping cashback platform ShopBack Korea recently announced that it will hold a special event to mark the launch of the Hana Travlog GO card.

Hana Card recently launched the 'Travlog GO Check Card', adding the global payment network brand Visa to its Travlog service.

While the existing Travlog card was a Mastercard with many merchants in Japan and Europe, the Travlog GO card is issued as a Visa card with many merchants in the United States, Canada and Australia, broadening users' choices.

The Travlog GO card offers free currency exchange for all currencies (100% exchange rate preference), no overseas transaction fees, and no overseas ATM withdrawal fees. In addition, when paying at major domestic merchants such as cafes, convenience stores, public transportation, and subscription services, up to 5% of the payment amount is accumulated as Hana Money.

ShopBack Korea has partnered with the Hana 'Travlog GO' card to offer a special bonus cashback benefit. ShopBack users can register the 'Travlog GO' card in the ShopBack app and earn an additional 1% bonus cashback when they make payments at five direct-purchase merchants each month using this card. Until September 30, 2024, eligible merchants include Hotels.com, Trip.com, Booking.com, Agoda and Klook, among others, and the list of five direct-purchase merchants may change each month.

As a special launch event, users who sign up for ShopBack through the event page on the Hana Money app will receive 10,000 won in bonus cashback. More details about the benefits can be found on the event page.

ShopBack Korea is strengthening cashback benefits by forming partnerships with multiple card issuers. Registering the eligible cards on ShopBack and shopping at cashback-eligible stores with those cards allows users to receive additional bonus cashback. The Naver Pay Money Card provides a 13% bonus cashback on top of the base cashback, the NH Nonghyup Mastercard offers a 10% bonus cashback on top of the base cashback, and the KB Kookmin VISA Card offers a 5% bonus cashback on top of the base cashback.
