2024.09.10. The Fair Economy — KOIIA announced that it held the first Mid-sized Enterprise DX Connected Day on the 9th, facilitating customized matching between demand-side mid-sized enterprises and supply-side companies for digital transformation (DX), thereby expanding and supporting the mid-sized enterprise DX ecosystem.

The event was an open innovation gathering that matched midsize enterprises wishing to pursue DX with promising suppliers holding innovative technologies, and addressed the pain points of midsize enterprises in their DX initiatives. It was held as part of the project to foster digitally innovative midsize enterprises.

In particular, the event was themed around a "DX Technology Marketplace" to introduce and connect various DX innovations to mid-sized enterprises, drawing participation from more than 120 attendees, including executives and staff from mid-sized enterprises, large and small businesses, startups, and related organizations.

In the first session, demand-side midsize enterprises KS Korea Employment Information and Paper Korea shared the direction of their DX initiatives and related issues. In addition, Jeon Dong-won, Vice President of Dohow Consulting, gave a special lecture on internalizing DX talent in midsize enterprises.

In the next session, eight supply-side companies possessing outstanding DX innovative technologies—MegazoneCloud, DOUZONE BizOn, OKESTRO, Hyundai AutoEver, DLIT, MakinaRocks, PixelBoost, and Korea Data Chain—introduced their DX technologies that mid-sized enterprises can apply to their DX initiatives.

The final session was a "DX Technology Marketplace Meetup," a networking event where supplier companies' DX technologies were introduced using technology hashtags (#) so that demand-side mid-sized enterprises could easily understand them; when a demand-side company selected a hashtag, it visited the corresponding supplier's booth for matching. Additionally, the Mid-Sized DX Support Consortium provided counseling support in areas identified as pain points for mid-sized enterprises' DX efforts—"finance," "legal/regulatory," "talent development," and "DX technology internalization"—by mentoring individual mid-sized enterprises.

Choo Hyeon-ho, center director at KOIIA who oversaw the event, stated, "We hope the Mid-Sized Enterprise DX Connected Day serves as a starting point for demand-side mid-sized enterprises to easily understand DX and accelerate collaboration with relevant supplier companies," adding, "KOIIA will take the lead in enabling more mid-sized enterprises to secure competitiveness in the global market through DX technology."
