2024.06.18. The Fair Economy — Inswave Systems (CEO Eo Se-ryong), an artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DX) specialist, announced on the 18th that three key features built into its flagship solution WebSquare AI, launched last March, have been granted patents in the United States and Japan.

Inswave said the international patents demonstrate its ongoing efforts toward technology development and innovation, and expects them to help bolster its credibility and standing in the global market as well as support its push into overseas markets.

According to Inswave, the three newly registered international patents are: a system and method for providing context-based conversational services; a method for providing visual scripts on a one-source-multi-use (OSMU) support platform and a program performing it; and a method for setting grid layouts for responsive pages on multiple devices and a program performing it.

The U.S. patent, 'System and Method for Providing Context-Based Interactive Services,' signifies an advancement in conversational AI services based on large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT. The technology automatically contextualizes the information a user is viewing on a device to generate natural conversational responses, and is expected to contribute to dramatically improving the user experience.

The two patents obtained in Japan relate to technology that delivers an optimized user experience across multiple device environments, allowing a single source code to provide consistent performance and a consistent user interface across various devices. The technology is seen as a locally specialized innovation with the advantage of cutting development costs and maximizing efficiency.

WebSquare AI, which integrates this conversational AI and multi-device optimization technology, offers users a more intuitive and convenient interface and supports a range of features that can transform the development process.

Since WebSquare AI supports an AI Copilot feature that leverages LLMs, it is expected to play a crucial role in accelerating DX and establishing an efficient work environment.

This means WebSquare AI can also be regarded as an artificial intelligence transformation (AX) solution.

Eo Se-ryong, CEO of Inswave, said, "Going forward, we plan to expand our technological presence in the global market based on international patents and create new business opportunities with innovative AI technology. Through continuous research and development and technological innovation, we will provide the best solutions to our customers and establish ourselves as a leader not only domestically but also globally in the DX field."
