2024.07.22. The Fair Economy — The Public Information and Cultural Center of the Embassy of Japan in Korea recently announced that it will hold the 11th Korea-Japan Photo Contest in cooperation with administrative agencies and companies from both countries.

First held in 2014 to promote cultural and people-to-people exchange and contribute to tourism promotion through photos from both Korea and Japan, the event marks its 11th edition this year.

Open to Korean or Japanese nationals, the contest invites participants to submit photos taken under the theme "the charm of Korea and Japan" via the official website, and awards prizes provided by administrative agencies and companies of both countries to the winning works.

Submissions will be accepted from the 22nd to September 8, with results announced on November 1.

The award ceremony and exchange event will be held on December 7 at the multipurpose hall of the Public Affairs and Cultural Center of the Japanese Embassy in Korea.

Entries can be submitted online via the official website of the 11th Korea-Japan Photo Contest (https://kjphotocon.org).

Winning works are scheduled to be exhibited at the multipurpose hall of the Korean-Japanese Friendship Center and the international terminal of Gimpo Airport.

The exhibition will run from December 9 to 13 at the multipurpose hall of the Public Information and Cultural Center of the Embassy of Japan in Korea, and from December 17 to January 16, 2025, at the international terminal of Gimpo Airport.

The Public Information and Cultural Center of the Embassy of Japan in Korea said, "We hope the exhibition will serve as an opportunity for many people to share the charm of local cities in Korea and Japan and to foster active Korea-Japan cultural exchange in various regions. We ask for your interest so that active cultural exchange can take place through photos capturing 'attractive tourist destinations in Korea or Japan, hidden gems, memorable scenes, food, culture, and art.'"
