Lee Nan-hui, Daegu Haany University professor, named director of Daegu National Science Museum

2024.06.05. The Fair Economy — The Ministry of Science and ICT announced that it has appointed Lee Nan-hui, a professor at Daegu Haany University, as the new director of the Daegu National Science Museum, effective the 5th.

Director Lee Nan-hui graduated from Daegu Catholic University with a degree in food and nutrition science. She previously served as president of the Association of Daegu-Gyeongbuk Women in Science and Engineering, as a member of the Science and Technology Promotion Committees of North Gyeongsang Province and Daegu Metropolitan City, and as a member of the Daegu National Science Museum's Museum Development Committee.

Under the Act on the Establishment, Operation and Promotion of Science Museums, the head of the Daegu National Science Museum is appointed by the Minister of Science and ICT after review and recommendation by the director recommendation committee. The term of office is three years from the date of appointment.
