2024.07.16. The Fair Economy — Fasoo Co., Ltd. (Fasoo, CEO Cho Gyu-gon) announced on the 16th that it supplied the document protection solution "Fasoo Enterprise DRM (FED)" and the external collaboration platform "Wrapsody eCo" to Jaic & C&A (CEO Ahn Chae-jong).
According to Fasoo, the supply of these solutions has dramatically improved and upgraded Jaic & C&A's drawing protection and collaboration environment.
Jaic & C&A, a construction firm under the GS affiliate, specializes in building advanced factories, cleanrooms, and other industrial facilities, and has expanded its global influence by entering the U.S. market after completing various plant construction projects in Poland, China, and Vietnam.
Jaic & C&A has protected drawing files using its existing DLP solution, but it needed a more efficient and robust drawing file security measure to prevent leakage of critical data that contains intellectual property (IP) during external collaboration.
In particular, protecting and collaborating on CAD files at construction sites is a very difficult task due to real-time accessibility and usability issues, as well as the complex environments among partner firms.
To address this, Fasoo built a secure environment where critical data can be protected safely even at construction sites through FED and Wrapsody eCo.
The FED provided by Fasoo maintains continuous encryption throughout the entire document management process. It enables efficient security management by restricting viewing, editing, and printing according to set permissions. It also provides file usage details and history, allowing companies to track and manage every stage from document creation to disposal. Notably, it offers the same level of data security in Apple's Mac environment as in Microsoft's Windows. It also supports CAD files, which are difficult to secure, making it a choice for domestic and international companies seeking to protect design drawings where IP has accumulated.
Wrapsody eCo builds a safe and efficient external collaboration environment based on document virtualization technology. Documents are automatically synchronized to the latest version when opened, improving work efficiency. All documents are shared in encrypted form, and permissions can be changed or revoked at any time after sharing. In particular, permissions for externally shared documents can be immediately revoked as needed, minimizing the risk of external leakage. It easily integrates various collaboration channels such as email and Dropbox to maximize collaboration efficiency.
