2024.07.17. The Fair Economy — Hancom said on the 17th that Byun Seong-jun and Kim Yeon-su, co-CEOs, are reorganizing the board of HANCOM WITH INC., which serves as the pillar of the HANCOM Group, and are moving forward with a full-scale management renewal initiative for the group.

According to Hancom, Byun Seong-jun and Kim Yeon-su, Hancom CEOs, will hold a board meeting and convene an extraordinary shareholders' meeting soon to appoint new outside directors and directly join HANCOM WITH INC. as internal directors, as they aim for active management participation. They also plan to push for a resolution to appoint Byun Seong-jun as a co-CEO of HANCOM WITH INC.

Byun Seong-jun also serves as vice chairman of the HANCOM Group, and since Byun Seong-jun and Kim Yeon-su have jointly overseen the group's overall management and major businesses, their direct involvement in HANCOM WITH INC.'s operations is seen as a way to simplify the group's governance structure and strengthen its financial health.

In particular, Byun Seong-jun and Kim Yeon-su, who are leading HANCOM WITH INC.'s transition from a security firm to a financial company, plan to appoint Nam Su-gyun as a new outside director. Nam Su-gyun, who previously served as head of Tencent's Korean investment division, is known for building successful investment portfolios and IPO experience across major IT firms globally, and is expected to support HANCOM WITH INC.'s shift toward a financial business.

Hancom is confronting legal risks head-on.

Kim Yeon-su, Hancom CEO, has repeatedly emphasized that the ongoing projects will not be affected. Recently, in a statement, she stressed, "We will push forward with our initiatives without delay to achieve our goals."

Byun Seong-jun and Kim Yeon-su expressed their resolve, saying, "We will swiftly implement strategic renewal and self-correction efforts to dispel concerns of many stakeholders—including customers, shareholders, investors, and employees—and meet their expectations and trust."
