2024.07.24. The Fair Economy — Wello, which provides customized policy recommendations and application services, announced on the 24th that it has officially launched its community service.

According to Wello, the newly introduced community service is expected to facilitate the sharing of policy information and opinions among users, as well as provide various insights.

The service will also feature sections such as Policy Chat, which offers timely policy news and information on local government support and events, Neighborhood News, and Free Chat, where users can share various topics and daily life experiences in a diverse manner.

Wello, which now has more than 2.2 million cumulative users, is an app service that connects national policies with private-sector benefits. It is the first in Korea to use artificial intelligence (AI) to recommend customized policies and provide application services. The number of subscribers across all age groups has continued to surge, rising between a minimum of 80% and a maximum of more than 750% every quarter compared to the previous year.

Wello, which is pioneering the new "govtech" market, plans to use the launch of this community service as an opportunity to expand interaction among users, gain insights into policy, and jointly shape the direction policy should take going forward.

Meanwhile, to commemorate the service launch, a gift-giving event will be held for two weeks from the 18th to the 31st. Participants can enter by writing free-form posts on policy topics, from their own policy reviews to know-how. Winners will be selected among participants who have written at least one post, based on a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as the number of comments and likes.

"We decided to launch this service because we judged that there was a need for a forum where any citizen could freely discuss and share views on policy," said Kim Yu-ri-an-na, CEO of Wello. "We hope this service can serve as a key channel for generating high-quality policies going forward. Wello plans to play a guiding role in this trend and continue to innovate Korea's policy industry."
