The Fair Economy — AI technology firm ThinkforBL recently announced that it succeeded in working out concrete cooperation measures to strengthen AI reliability with the Da Nang Semiconductor and AI Research and Training Center (DSAC), a local government-affiliated institution, and regional IT companies during a visit to Da Nang, Vietnam, from the 19th to the 20th.
According to ThinkforBL, on the first day, the 19th, a 'Trustworthy AI Seminar & Networking' event was held at the headquarters of Vietnamese IT solutions company Enouvo. The seminar, co-hosted by DSAC and the Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL), drew about 70 participants, including local company representatives, working-level staff, and local government IT officials.
At the seminar, experts from ThinkforBL, KTL, and AI-based content service company TWIGFARM Co., Ltd each introduced global trends in AI reliability and Korea's response efforts, related education and consulting programs, and cases of industrial AI certification and standards. During the networking session that followed, attendees showed keen interest in remarks from the Korean side that "a balanced consideration of technology, law, and institutions will be needed to respond to future AI technology regulations."
The following day, the 20th, the delegation visited the headquarters of several promising local AI companies in succession, including FPT Software, known as Vietnam's largest IT company, holding meetings to explore detailed cooperation possibilities. Among them, AXSON held a multilateral remote conference linking Lucerne, Switzerland, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to receive information on AI reliability technology and industrial AI certification.
ThinkforBL, which visited Da Nang City Hall that day, agreed with DSAC to establish a leading example of securing AI reliability for local companies including Enouvo as their first joint project to foster the AI industry, with plans to expand it across Vietnamese industry going forward. ThinkforBL expressed hope that this cooperation would serve as a catalyst for the development of the Trustworthy AI International Alliance (TRAIN). Vietnam is emerging as a new IT outsourcing hub in Southeast Asia, bolstered by active support measures from both central and local governments.
Le Hoang Phuc, head of the DSAC Research and Training Center, said, "Vietnam is currently rapidly transforming its existing software (SW) market into an AI-based market and fostering new industries, and Da Nang is taking the lead in institutional improvement and support measures. While we were considering practical support measures based on a strong will to foster the AI industry, we confirmed that the AI trustworthiness proposed by the Korean side is competitive, and we plan to create success stories through pilot projects by November."
