2024.09.21. The Fair Economy — JAL recently announced that it has opened a special commemorative website to mark the 60th anniversary of its Korea routes.

The website introduces the history of the Korea routes and recommended travel destinations near Haneda Airport. It also offers prizes such as free tickets and coffee coupons through a drawing for customers who share the Japanese destinations they want to visit.

During the event period, 66 customers who purchase air tickets will receive additional mileage benefits. JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) members who book a JAL round-trip ticket departing from Seoul Gimpo International Airport to Tokyo Haneda International Airport between December 1 and January 31, 2025, will have the chance to earn additional mileage by responding to a simple survey. JAL will select six participants through a lottery to receive 6,000 miles and 60 participants to receive 600 miles.

JAL began operating the Seoul (Gimpo)-Tokyo (Haneda) route with three weekly flights in 1964, one year before the normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan. The airline continues to operate three daily flights on this route today, making it the carrier with the longest history on the route.

The event will run until October 5, and details and winner announcements can be checked through the JAL KakaoTalk channel.
