2024.06.26. The Fair Economy — Neuromeka Co., a collaborative robot specialist, announced on the 26th that it has been selected as the robot system integrator for the 2024 'Advanced Manufacturing Robot Demonstration Project' announced by the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement.

According to Neuromeka Co., this demonstration project will be carried out as a public demonstration with the Army, Navy, and Air Force serving as the detailed lead agencies. The implementation period runs until November, aiming to improve the work environment in factories using collaborative robots and reduce defect rates through precise operations to secure productivity. The overall lead agency for the project is Keimyung University.

Neuromeka Co.'s demonstration project is of great significance in minimizing risks by automating hazardous and dangerous work environments that can cause accidents for military workers, thereby improving their work conditions through collaborative robots. Additionally, it can maximize productivity by enhancing work precision through robots, thereby securing efficiency.

Park Jong-hun, CEO of Neuromeka Co., said, "Workers at sites where chemicals are inevitably used or hazardous gases are generated due to special operations are always exposed to the risk of industrial accidents, and minor and major accidents have continued to occur in such environments, so we have continuously researched and developed solutions that can replace hazardous and dangerous tasks with collaborative robots. Through this demonstration project, we will continue to apply collaborative robots to the Army, Navy, and Air Force, thereby enhancing the safety and efficiency of our military personnel simultaneously and gradually expanding business in the military support sector."

Neuromeka Co. successfully introduced collaborative robots in the hull welding of naval vessels at the Naval Fleet 2's 2nd Repair Depot in February.
