2024.09.06. The Fair Economy — Madras Check, the developer of the collaboration tool Flow, announced on the 5th that it has been selected as a 'Top Job-Creating Company in Korea' for the second year in a row.
The award is presented annually by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to 100 companies that have contributed to job creation and improved worker welfare. Madras Check received this honor in 2024, following its selection in 2023.
Selection as a top company is determined by a comprehensive review of a company's efforts and achievements in areas such as job creation, reduction of working hours, work-life balance, consideration for youth, women, people with disabilities, and the elderly, and conversion to regular employment. The average turnover rate among the 100 selected top companies was 1.8%, significantly lower than the overall corporate average of 3.7%. Additionally, the average employment growth rate was 16.0%, approximately seven times higher than the overall corporate average of 2.8%. Through these achievements, Korea's Top Job-Creating Companies in 2024 are pursuing growth for both companies and workers by continuously improving working environments and enhancing welfare.
Madras Check explained that it received high scores in the areas of youth job creation, fostering a good organizational culture, labor-management harmony and co-prosperity efforts, fair hiring, and encouraging employees' job skills (training). In particular, it received favorable evaluations for creating a good organizational culture.
Madras Check actively supports employees in achieving work-life balance through a flexible working environment, including a flexible work schedule, extended lunch breaks, and the Worcation program. In addition, it has introduced various welfare programs such as sabbatical leave, long-service awards, and hotel stay support to increase employee satisfaction. Given the high proportion of young employees, Madras Check also operates a monthly rent support program and a housing loan interest support program to help with housing stability. Furthermore, through an incentive system that appropriately rewards employees' performance, the company is establishing a culture of sharing employees' efforts and achievements.
The company also offers diverse programs for employees pursuing self-development, providing industry-leading levels of benefits such as welfare expenses for self-improvement, book purchase costs, job competency enhancement education, in-house training, and club activity fees. Madras Check also holds an All Hands Meeting once a month with the CEO and all employees to help them understand and communicate about common company goals. Since any employee can present freely regardless of position, it provides opportunities for growth and learning through challenges. In addition, the company offers lunch expenses, an in-house cafeteria (coffee and snacks), health check-up costs, various rest spaces within the company, and free gym access to help employees work in a satisfying environment while managing their health.
Furthermore, to continuously operate industry-leading welfare programs and create a happy work culture, it holds quarterly labor-management committees to listen to and resolve employees' work-related grievances, and works together with employees to create and implement their bucket lists.
