2024.07.17. The Fair Economy — EFM Networks, the manufacturer of ipTIME wired and wireless routers, announced on the 17th that it has released firmware version 15.00.0 featuring the 'third-generation iUX' based on Material Design.
The "third-generation iUX" is a user-centered design that unifies PC and mobile interfaces to eliminate platform differences, providing a more intuitive and easy-to-understand user environment.
It also adds features not supported in the previous UI, such as a dark mode to reduce eye strain and a favorites function that prioritizes frequently used menus, enhancing user convenience.
The "third-generation iUX" was officially released as firmware 15.00.0 after an approximately three-month stabilization period following the launch of its beta service in April. It is available via automatic upgrade and initially supports a total of 25 models, including the ipTIME flagship router AX11000-6E and other 802.11ax wireless routers as well as wired routers. Official firmware for 802.11ac and 802.11n product lines is also scheduled to be released sequentially.
"The 'third-generation iUX,' which reinterprets Material Design as ipTIME's identity, is a UI optimized for all users through an intuitive interface. We released this official firmware after referencing user feedback following the distribution of the beta firmware supporting the 'third-generation iUX,' and we will continue to do our best in developing customer-satisfying technology," EFM Networks said.
