2024.09.10. The Fair Economy — Unmanned vehicle autonomous swarm control specialist company Pablo Air (CEO Kim Yeong-jun) said on the 9th that it successfully carried out deliveries in the "Damaged Repair Drone Delivery Event" held from the 2nd to the 4th by SK Telecom and Boryeong on Sapsi Island, South Chungcheong Province.
Drone delivery is highly efficient in terms of time and cost, as it can quickly transport goods even to hard-to-reach areas. Pablo Air utilized its delivery drone 'PA-H3' and its 'Mobility Integrated Control System' to support Sapsido residents in receiving mobile phone repair services quickly.
Sapsi Island is an island home to about 500 residents, and reaching the mainland requires a ferry ride of roughly one hour, which runs only three times a day. Consequently, residents and tourists who damage their phones must spend an entire day for repairs.
Through this drone delivery, the travel time from Sapsi Island to the mainland was reduced from the original one hour to about 13 minutes, cutting travel time by roughly 78% and alleviating the many inconveniences associated with phone repairs on the island.
Kim Yeong-jun, CEO of Pablo Air, said, "Drone delivery services have mainly focused on food delivery and general logistics until now, but this event allowed us to confirm the potential in new fields such as electronic device repair. Going forward, we will continue to develop drone delivery through various ideas and partnerships so that it can provide practical value in consumers' daily lives."
Meanwhile, Pablo Air conducted drone training at the Sapsi branch of Ocheon Elementary School on Sapsi Island on the 3rd as part of its effort to reduce educational gaps in the community. Students who participated in obstacle races using drones and experienced basic flight techniques and FPV speed-drone goggles showed increased interest and enthusiasm for new technology. Through its drone education program, Pablo Air aims to foster future talent and deepen understanding of advanced technology while promoting mutual growth with the local community.
