Jung Gyeong-du, head of the National Cyber Security Laboratory, said, "There is a growing voice calling for the enactment of a Framework Act on Cyber Security to enable a comprehensive government-wide response when cyber security threats occur. Accordingly, the National Cyber Security Laboratory is providing legislative support from the private sector to help enact this law. Through this agreement, we expect continuous exchange and systematic cooperation with the association, which will invigorate research activities for establishing related laws and institutions."

Ji Seong-u, president of the Korean Constitutional Law Association, said, "For more than 30 years, the Korean Constitutional Law Association has delivered meaningful achievements in constitutional law research to our society and country, and has worked to help many people connect with that research. This agreement with the National Cyber Security Laboratory, a private research institute specializing in cyber security, will mark an opportunity to take research and education on cyber security laws and systems to a new level."

Attendees at the event positively evaluated the private-sector-led research activities on a basic cyber security law by academia and research institutions, agreeing that the government and the National Assembly should take more proactive steps toward enacting the law.
